Riding motorcycles in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

What it really comes down to is riding.

The mountains of Western North Carolina and the surrounding area, provide arguably, some of the most scenic, and challenging motorcycle riding in the country. The mountains of WNC offer every format of riding. from scenic mountainous back roads packed with tight curves, to the large trail systems deep in the forests for the off road enthusiast. The roads that we ride on a regular basis, are those that motorcyclists dream of.

we've been riding this route for years then I found this on a website:

but we aren't getting on, we're going under.

we may run the "Copperhead Loop" as a group ride in the future, for The Meltdown, or perhaps we will find another excuse to run this loop soon. It's a good one!

we can also be found honing our skills on the Green River Cove Switchbacks. 17 of them to be exact.

it's tough to stay focused on the road when a lot of the time it looks like this out there:

just south of Mt. Mitchell.

at any point, when we pull out of the clubhouse, we can find ourselves on some of the most challenging roads, with amazing views for rewards. The feeling of being at one with your machine and the road when you are navigating these mountains, is second to none. We will occasionally share some of our favorite local routes on this blog. til' then...

 Every year, we host a vintage motorcycle and cafe racer show called: 'The Meltdown'.
 The Meltdown event draws hundreds of vintage bikes, as well as modern classics, and motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the region. It's a motorcycle enthusiasts dream, offering the enthusiast the opportunity to see in person what would normally be tucked away in a garage or seen only in a magazine or similar publication. We will be updating the blog frequently with info regarding The Meltdown, as well as general information about Ton Up NC Highlands, and what we are up to. Stay tuned, hooligans! (more to come)
